Sorry...........

Sorry it took so long to update our BLOG but we really had a lot of trouble with our computers.

BABY, IT'S HOT OUTSIDE....

We have at least 100 degrees since the last weeks. At night it is still arround in the 90's. Our air-conditioning is running 24/7 !!!
To take a dip in the pool feels sooooo gooood !!!!
The gras turned from green into brown and i have to water the front and back yard to save the plants.

YIIIIEEEHAAAAA!!!!

It was RODEO Time in Gainesville, Texas.... yiiieehaaa !
And like everybody in Gainesville... we went too. The annual Rodeo was the fifth for us (we came the first time 2002 on our summer vacation) and the twenty's for the City of Gainesville.
Bareback, Calf roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Sheep Riding for Kids and Manu's favorite part: Bull Riding and a lot more. It was FUN like every year!!!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY

The 4th of July Party at Stephanie's house was AWESOME!!!
Stephanie was Janina's and Jason's Speech Teacher at the Gainesville Highschool. She switched summer 2005 to another school :-(((( !

Manu made a "Flag-Cake" (Lemon-Lime-Cake in USA Design, soon you can find the recipe on Manu's BLOG), we had Hot-Dogs and got a ride to Lake Ray-Roberts on a Sport-ATV with Stephanie and her husband and us four in a little Trailer. It was FUN FUN FUN.

The firework was awesome, too. I have never seen a box that big with fireworks!!!

It was the second time we were celebrating the biggest Holiday in the USA with Stephanie and her family and friends. See ya'll next year, guys... we had a lot of fun !!!

Daggi in the Pool!

Daggi is a big Duck, and she is allowed to swim in the big pool now !!!!

We had to start over to fill our swimming-pool because we put it on the wrong place, it had to many wrinkles.
The Pool was filled with rain-water and we were trying to get it out. It was unattended for a moment and Daggi was nosy and checked out the biiiiiig pool. When we got back she was in the middle of the pool and was the happiest little duck we`ve ever seen!!!

House... where is the house????

That`s left from the house ... the Steelframe!!! Konny wants to keep the Steel and use it on the new house. We have two big piles of wood in the backyard, one of `em is good and the other one is trashy.
We did a very good job!!! Everybody is exhausted! After beeing exposed to the sun we all got a Farmers Tan. :-))))

BBQ at Sunset...

Saturday, after a lot of work at the house, we had a delicious BBQ with Steaks, Chicken Shish Kebab (Spieße), and Spinach-Salad. While we were watching boats, people wakeboarding and waterskiing, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset.

YES... we`re watching too !!!!

This pic shows Jason watching the World Cup at Saturday... Germany vs. Sweden... and of course WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!!

... and the pool is up !!!

Sunday evening, after we came home from the lake, we started putting our swimming-pool up in the backyard.
It`s about time, because it is sooooo hot in Texas.
We just want to jump into the pool and stay in there all day long!

The house is down....

As you can see on the pic, the house is almost gone. The only things we have left to do is the roof from the mobile home and the floor.
Saturday we took everything away around the house (frontporch, back-building floor) and cleaned up in the house (insolation, etc.). Sunday Konny made the roof to fall, by pulling it with his Pick-Up Truck.

Tearing down the house....

After Konny had done a lot of work on Tuesday (on his day off of work), the rest of the Reimann bunch helped over the weekend. We tore down everything around the Mobile home.
Which is the only thing we have left. We hope over the next weekend it will be gone too!
We`re looking forward to the first brandnew brick!!!

Daggi...

we got a little pool for our baby-duck.

She`s getting bigger and bigger - everything is bigger in Texas!!!! She is now almost the same size as the chickens. Now she`s the boss! Ain`t nobody messing with her anymore!!!!

Tearing down the roof....

As you can see on the pictures above, we had some helping hands to take the roof off. It took us two hours on a really hot day. We could not wait to jump into the lake. After swimming in the lake we had a BBQ with Texas-Size Steaks and homemade Burgers. Yummy!!!

HOUSE, PROM AND DAGGI

Sorry, it`s been so long...
...but there was so much around.

1. The Lake-house...

finally we decided to tear it down. We will start next weekend and we hope to get a lot of helpers. Konny wanted to keep the frame and the roof to build the new house around, but it`s too much work. Now we just want to start from scratch.

The house on the picture should be gone in the next month. Then we can start with the concrete for the new house. It will be bigger than the old one, but we are still working on the floorplan.

PROM 2006

This years Theme was: "Tropical" .

Look at the pics...isn`t she beautiful ???

Her date, Casey, picked her up at our house. They went to get there pictures taken. And as MOMS are, I followed them to take lots of pictures!!! - I think, she hated me for that! :-)))) After that, they went to Sherman for Lunch to the "Roadhouse". Later at night when Janina and Casey startet walking on the catwalk, i went crazy to get the camera ready! But as you can see, i got it all covered!!!! She had a lot of fun and didn`t come home till 4 in the morning! But what happens at Prom - stays at Prom :-)))))) !!!!

DAGGI ....

at Wednesday the 24. we welcomed our little-yellow-running around in circles-baby duck!!!

One of my co-workers asked me the day before if we want to save a little baby-ducks life. Of course we said "YES"! The duck was kept in a little dark box. They got her at Eastern and didn`t know what to do with her now. We named her "DAGGI" (Dagmar). She lives with the chickens and Murphy and has her own swimming-pool. A real nice Duck-Life!
